這本由馬玉錄、劉東學主編的《機械設計制造及
其自動化專業英語(第3版高等學校教材)》共分為三
部分(Part)，30個單元（Unit）。第一部分為機械設
計與制造的基本知識，包括金屬材料、非金屬材料、
材料的機械性能、材料力學、金屬材料熱處理、機械
及機械零件設計、制造工藝、加工設備、模具設計與
制造、數控機床、液壓繫統、熱力學、流體力學、化
工機器、質量保證與控制等。第二部分為自動控制的
基本知識，其中包括控制原理、控制繫統類型、反饋
控制原理、過程控制、測量繫統、傳感器及信號轉換
、繫統狀態監測等。第三部分為現代先進制造技術，
主要介紹機電一體化、計算機數控、機器人、計算機
輔助制造、柔性制造繫統、計算機集成制造、自動組
裝、敏捷制造、精益制造、大批量定制生產、虛擬制
造、綠色產品制造等。
本教材的內容覆蓋了機械設計制造及其自動化專
業的基本內容。各單元之間，既有一定的內在聯繫，
又獨立成章，可根據不同學時數靈活選用。第三版保
留了第二版的風格，對部分內容作了更換和調整，增
加了如材料力學緒論、閥門、熱力學應用、控制模式
等內容，保留的內容盡可能使用最新版本的內容，使
教材的內容具有更強的時效性和適用性。
本教材可供機械工程及相關專業本科生使用，也
可作為同等程度的專業技術人員的自學教材。
