自20世紀70年代末引入繫統功能語言學以來，我
國功能語言學界對該理論進行了各方面的探討，著述
頻出，但鮮有從同一理論視角同時對英、漢兩種語言
進行繫統性研究的書籍。本套叢書每個主題都有兩個
分冊，分別對英、漢語言進行描述，希望既有益於英
語學界讀者，又有益於漢語學界讀者，也有益於從事
兩種語言對比研究的學者。
何偉、張瑞傑、淡曉紅、張帆、魏榕著、黃國文
、何偉總編的《英語功能語義分析》與《漢語功能語
義分析》是姊妹篇，旨在從繫統功能語言學角度對人
類各種經驗活動在英語與漢語中的表征進行探討，呈
現一個比較完整的涉及活動類型及參與者角色的英語
與漢語及物性繫統網絡。
本書包含九章，分別對動作過程、心理過程、關
繫過程等三種主要活動類型，行為過程、交流過程、
存在過程等三種邊界活動類型以及天氣過程——一種
特殊活動類型的表征方式進行了描述與討論。本書最
後一章為語篇分析案例，綜合運用前面各章節建構的
繫統網絡，對實際語篇進行分析，以體現本書所描述
的及物性繫統網絡的實踐價值。
本書兼具知識性、規範性和應用性，旨在為廣大
英語專業高年級本科生、研究生、教師及語言研究者
