整個輪機英語（Marine Engineering English
）分為讀寫教程（Reading and Writing）和聽說教
程（Listening and Speaking）兩部分，供輪機專
業本科學生第5-7學期使用，以滿足連續學習英語的
要求。
讀寫教程按72學時編寫，供第5-6學期使用；聽
說教程按36學時編寫，供第7學期使用。
聽說讀寫，均注重實用。閱讀部分加入了句法分
析，難句長句分析方法及步驟。
閱讀材料均選自原版輪機工程讀物，課後難句分
析完全按照《輪機英語讀寫教程》第一篇介紹的方法
進行。希望通過大量閱讀實踐，使學生掌握應知應會
的專業詞彙。堅持精講多練，重在實踐。在每課課後
給出的學習指要，大多數是編者多年教學工作的總結
。專業書寫部分均為實船需要的書寫工作。書寫實例
給出同一含義的漢語內容不同英文表達方式，並給出
了解析。
由黨坤、宋永欣和張洪朋所合編的教材《輪機英
語讀寫教程》分句法分析基礎、專業閱讀、專業寫作
三篇，主要內容包括：基本句型及句子成分；難句解
析；句法分析方法及實例；隔位修飾；難句實例等。
