劉雁琪主編的這本《北京主要景點英文講解》分
11個單元對北京地區11個主要景點（天安門、故宮、
長城、天壇、頤和園、明十三陵、北海公園、雍和宮
、景山公園、恭王府、什剎海和胡同）進行了詳細的
介紹。每單元均由三個模塊構成：課前熱身模塊，旨
在喚醒學生的求知欲，激發他們的學習興趣；課文主
體的閱讀活動對主要景點進行了詳細的介紹；課後練
習模塊，能幫助學生檢測學習效果，方便學生進行自
我提高訓練。另外，本教材在前6個單元還精心設計
了北京地區6大景點的導遊詞範例，供學習者參考模
仿。附錄部分是針對外國遊客通常可能提出的問題而
設置的問答知識。
本教材除適合職業院校應用英語等相關專業學生
使用外，也可作為在職導遊及參加北京地區導遊資格
